from medellin to the uckermark and back again to question mark – here is another comeme travelogue for your badass baedeker. not long ago sano left his colombian hometown to find himself in an old palace in brandenburg, locked inside a dreamlike basement studio for two weeks with another seven from around the world. it has been there, as sano told us, that a blood pact was sealed. and now indeed it is his >chupa< (suck it!) to be the already second record (after alejandro paz - free) to emerge from that magnificent comeme conclave held at a cottage outside of berlin this summer.

returning after some time off, two dogs in a house took to a secluded studio in stockholm sweden during spring 2012 to record while on the road. here we have the result of uninhibited access to machines with no time constraints and no distractions from the outside world. this freedom allowed the duo to expand upon their ideas of deconstructing conventional song structure and harnessing the power of what immediately surrounded them in the moment. two full side tracks that will absolutely crush and/or isolate anyone who crosses through the sonic pathway of them. perfect sounds for the apocalyptic world we live in.

another piece of swissness here! long anticipated and finally here. animal trainers new ep for their very own piece of gold: hive audio. sure they were also featured on the 6 years hive compilation, made several quality remixes & released on labels such as pokerflat or stil vor talent, but its still special to present your music on the self-made label. besides 3 originals there is another very talented producer to find on this record. &me delivers like everytime. it looks like he started where the 2 guys from zurich finished. a lot of energy which comes together in a very strong beat which makes this one a dancefloor-thing for sure.

this latest release from hizatron and bashley galvanises the usual wigflexian- gloop with a more industrial edge and a superb implementation of found sounds. a darker pallet underpins the record but this is inverted then lifted with inserts of scattered euphoria. whilst all that is synonymous with the current face of techno lurks consistently in the background throughout, in an almost redemptive fashion, we are hoisted upward from a chromatic descent and set forth onto a crisp, bouncy path peppered with light. the depth of stereo field is utilised perfectly here and the use of dimension is something of a staple for all of those who call wigflex home. hizatron is known for his seamless arrangements, catchy melodies and punchy percussion and this record has that unquestionable tron swagger but the familiar sound is accelerated by new influences from bashley who although a relatively unknown member of the family brings a fresh range of timbres that compliment hizas signature grooves.

luv005 already and no doubt another classy four tracker that will top a few sales charts in the coming weeks and months. it has been a wonderful summer for the luv shack crew with every release bettering the last. the response and reaction to the new label has been astounding and beyond a pleasant surprise. with intelligent dance music such as this, it really shouldnt be such a surprise, but in a world of mass mediocre music, it does happen more often than not, that the good stuff doesnt always find its way. the guys though have found a place in a lot of hearts and quite a few tasty dj sets and record boxes with four very consistent releases. so, here we go with what is yet another worthy addition to any half decent djs repertoire me thinks. and it is lee stevens who teams up with local friends to deliver a very crafted set of aural niceness for your distinguished pleasure.
